After his goalkeeping heroics with the Paraguayan national side, Justo Villar has signed a three-year deal with Estudiantes de La Plata.
Villar, 34, made some superb saves as Paraguay eliminated Brazil in the quarter-finals of the Copa America and he will link up with his new team at the conclusion of the tournament.
Speaking about the move, Villar, who joins from Spanish side Valladolid, said that he was also contacted by Boca Juniors but is delighted to have signed for Estudiantes.
"I am delighted to join such a prestigious club and one of the most internationally renowned in Argentina," he commented.
Villar will now play his club football for Estudiantes in the same stadium where he helped knocked Brazil out of the Copa America - the Estadio Ciudad de La Plata.
