David Trezeguet enjoyed a memorable debut for River Plate as he came off the bench to score in their 2-1 pre-season win over Racing.
The former Juventus forward, who grew up in Buenos Aires and played for Platense before moving to Europe, joined Nacional B side River a few weeks ago.
And the 34-year-old could not have asked for a better start to his career with Los Millonarios.
With River leading 1-0 and just six minutes to go in Mar del Plata, Trezeguet collected a ball on the left of the box and curled an effort round the goalkeeper to spark wild celebrations.
Trezeguet, who replaced Fernando Cavenaghi with 24 minutes to go in the match, spoke afterwards of his delight at the goal.
"This is special, it is great," he said. "I am very emotional and I want to enjoy the tournament. I am happy and very satisfied."
