Flamengo have reportedly made a concrete offer to CSKA Moscow for want-away Brazilian striker Vagner Love.
The 27 year-old is currently back in Brazil enjoying a winter break from Russian football and is hoping not to return to Eastern Europe.
Vagner Love, who followed up a disappointing loan return to his first club Palmeiras with a more successful brief stay with Flamengo last year, has long been desperate to seal a permanent return to his homeland, with CSKA President Yevgeny Giner having already admitted he expects to lose the Brazilian.
“We intend to let Vagner go,” said Giner in September.
Flamengo officials are reported to be ironing out the details of the fee, with the only potential stumbling block being the exact schedule of the instalments to be paid to CSKA.
“We've sent a proposal,” said Flamengo financial officer Michel Levy. “We are confident and we’re not looking for any [other] striker. It will be Vagner Love.”
